Hirschmann™ has extended its product range to include new SPIDER PD low-cost switches powered via PoE
Hirschmann™ has introduced three new unmanaged low-cost switches that support Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and have either five twisted-pair ports (SPIDER 5TX PD EEC) or one twisted-pair port and one fiberoptic port for multimode (SPIDER 1TX/1FX-MM PD EEC) or single mode optical fiber (SPIDER 1TX/1FX-SM PD EEC).
Since all versions are powered via PoE there is no requirement for a separate power supply.
These compact switches can be mounted on DIN rails and put into operation quickly following the plug-and-work principle. Using technology that is standardized throughout the world, these new PD switches make it possible to enlarge networks with minimal effort, since only a PoE port is required to supply power.
